Suzi and Sarah are wonderful girls with special needs.  They both have diabetes that is controlled with daily doses of insulin.

Sarah is a 2-3 year old tortoiseshell female.  She was an unspayed stray in the New Market area who was taken in by Pets 4 Pets Cat Rescue.  Sarah was spayed, tested for FeLV/FIV, vaccinated, and microchipped.  She was then adopted by a wonderful family.  Shortly after she was adopted her new family realized that she ate and drank excessively. When she went to the vet, it was discovered that she had glucose in her urine which indicated that she may be diabetic. It was decided that she be returned to Pets 4 Pets.  Upon further testing, it was found that her blood glucose was indeed high and insulin therapy was then started. 

Suzi is a 10 year old brown tabby.  She has a funny, bold personality.  Nothing gets in her way – dogs, kids, other cats.  Suzi was adopted from Pets 4 Pets in 2002.  Because she requires so much care, her adopted family is no longer able to keep her.  The heartbreaking decision to return her to the rescue was made in February 2010.  Suzi has been insulin dependant for several years.

Both Suzi and Sarah will remain with their Pets 4 Pets foster family indefinitely. Any donations received in Suzi and Sarah's names will offset the cost of their insulin.  You can make a donation via Pay Pal or at any of our open houses.
